Looking Ahead to Our4th AnnualBikes & Books Event

We’re excited to announce that sponsorships are now open for the 4th Annual Bikes & Books: Riding for Perfect Attendance initiative! Launched by the Find-A-Way Foundation, this program encourages strong school attendance and a love of reading among students at J.H. Hines and Provident Heights Elementary Schools in Waco.

Since its start, the initiative has donated more than 200 bikes and 600 books to local students. Every 12 weeks, K–5 students with fewer than two absences are entered into a drawing to win a bike, helmet, and bike safety book. To further support literacy, Andrew also leads a Book Giveaway, helping students build their personal libraries. The Foundation hosts three Bikes & Books award events each school year—in the fall, spring, and at the end of the year.

In 2024 alone, 72 bikes and helmets were awarded, and the Foundation donated $1,000 to each school, providing a total of 286 books for the giveaway. The school year wrapped up with a fun-filled pizza and ice cream celebration for all students who met the attendance goal.

The initiative has received strong local media support, helping share Andrew’s commitment to youth, education, and community in Waco.

We’re looking for partners to help make this year’s event the biggest yet. Join us in supporting students and celebrating their hard work—one book and one bike at a time.

Thank you, Dr. Pepper Museum!
We partnered with the Dr. Pepper Museum to honor students at both schools during our spring 2024 Bikes & Books award events. Dr. Pepper donated and served over 800 handmade Dr. Pepper floats to celebrate every student and educator at J.H. Hines Elementary and Provident Heights Elementary.
