CelebratingGiving Backin 2024

Andrew’s dedication to empowering Waco youth is deeply rooted in his journey as a Waco ISD student and Baylor University standout. This year, he rallied teams to fundraise for the American Lung Association and backed the Professional Male Mentor Association, connecting Waco ISD high schoolers with local leaders. Andrew also launched programs promoting life skills and school attendance, along with his annual youth football camp and community events promoting teamwork and discipline. Through these initiatives, he’s creating a legacy of empowerment, instilling values that last a lifetime. Our Foundation is grateful for the incredible support of our volunteers, donors, and sponsors. Click the sections below to explore how Andrew’s mission continues to make a difference!

Waco Southern Youth Football

Waco Southern Youth Football

Waco Southern Youth Football is a nonprofit bringing football and cheer programs to youth in Waco’s under-resourced neighborhoods, ensuring access to youth programs regardless of income. Since 2017, Andrew has donated $2,000 annually to support gear, uniforms, and registration fees for the program, which serves many single-parent families. This year, thanks to a $2,000 NFL Foundation Player Matching Grant, the Billings Family Foundation doubled its donation to $4,000, expanding access and opportunities for young athletes in Waco!

Waco ISD Men’s Empowerment Summit

Waco ISD Men's Empowerment Summit

In March 2024, Andrew was the keynote speaker for Waco ISD’s Annual Men’s Empowerment Summit at Baylor University. The event connected over 100 Waco ISD middle and high school boys with professional men from the Waco community to learn financial literacy, job readiness, life skills, and respect for others. Andrew shared his journey to success, emphasizing commitment, attitude, and perseverance. As a meaningful touch, each student received a tie, symbolizing empowerment and professionalism, with Andrew and the other men teaching them how to tie it during the luncheon.

Professional Male Mentor Association

Professional Male Mentor Association

Andrew proudly supports the Professional Male Mentor Association (PMMA), which aids male minority students from Waco ISD in the transition from high school to college. PMMA addresses challenges like limited family resources and the need for positive male role models by providing financial assistance and mentorship for students’ first two years of college. With a team of 15 mentors, PMMA aims for a 100% success rate in helping these young men reach college. In September 2024, Andrew contributed $2,500 to PMMA for student scholarships, which was matched by the NFL Foundation’s 2024 Social Justice Grant for $5,000 to advance PMMA’s mission.

Andrew Billings Invitational Powerlifting Meet

3rd Annual Invitational Powerlifting Meet

In 2013, Andrew Billings set a Texas powerlifting record, showcasing his strength and passion for the sport long before his football career. For the past three years, he has partnered with Waco ISD athletics to host the annual Andrew Billings Invitational Powerlifting Meet in Waco, drawing immense interest from local schools. The event has become a premier competition in Central Texas, so popular that participation had to be capped to keep it on schedule. In 2024, the meet hosted 21 schools and 250 lifters, and it’s set to return for another exciting showdown in January 2025.

American Lung Association "Fight For Air" Climb

ALA "Fight For Air" Climb Fundraiser

In April, our Foundation formed a team for the Dallas “Fight for Air” Climb, a premier stair-climbing fundraiser supporting lung disease research, education, and advocacy. Andrew shared his story about childhood asthma and how the American Lung Association’s programs helped him, urging others to support the climb. His heartfelt testimony was featured on the ALA website. Andrew donated $1,000 for the event, and his team raised over $2,500. As a sponsor, he provided water and Gatorade for participants and donated two adult bikes for raffle prizes. The Billings Family Find-A-Way team was recognized as the top fundraising team, and at Andrew’s 2024 youth football camp, he was honored with a medal as the American Lung Association’s 2024 Ambassador.

Building on that momentum, the Billings Family Find-A-Way fundraising team returned in 2025, earning 2nd Place and raising $2,870 for the ALA’s Fight for Air Climb – Dallas. Continuing their tradition of giving back, the Foundation also donated a bicycle to the ALA this year to support participant engagement and encourage healthy, active living.
